Create an unlimited number of 301, 302 and 303 URL redirects to optimize the SEO of your website. Also includes a CSV importer to create redirects in bulk.
Create as many redirects as you like with the module and choose between three different types of redirect: permanent (301), temporal (302) and independent (303).
It allows you to create internal redirects inside the same domain (ex: URL rewriting and item removal) and external redirects between two domains (ex: migration).
Thanks to the module, you can create redirects for all the pages you want: products, categories, CMS...
The module includes two ways to create redirects:
1) Individual redirect (one-by-one):
Add the old URI (without http, www and domain name – ex: /modulesdemo15/en/home/3-macbook-air.html)
Add the new URL (with http, www and domain name – ex: http://proyectos-lineagrafica.com/modulesdemo15/en/musica-ipods/5-ipod-touch.html)
Choose the type of redirect (301, 302 or 303)
Click on "Create the redirect"
2) Massive redirects (CSV importer):
Create a CSV file wih Excel (a CSV file comes wit the module as an example)
Write in the first column all the old URIs, one per line (without http, www and domain name – ex: /modulesdemo15/en/home/3-macbook-air.html)
Write in the second column all the new URLs, one per line (with http, www and domain name – ex: http://proyectos-lineagrafica.com/modulesdemo15/en/musica-ipods/5-ipod-touch.html
Write in the third column the type of redirect you want for each line (301, 302 or 303)
Save the file, open the module, click on “Browse”, find the file and click on “Upload the CSV file” to create all the redirects automatically
The module is compatible with multistore and allows you to create different redirects for each one of your shop from the same interface.
Please note that the module does NOT modify and does NOT write into the .htaccess, the redirects are created directly into the code of the page and stored in the database (the module creates its own table).
